Thank God for the Push
So, I recently shared with my husband about my fitness goal. I should’ve known from my past experience with sharing my fitness goals with Jahkimmo, that he will definitely hold me accountable, lol. So this morning, after we got Noah (my sweet girl) ready for daycare, I said to my husband that it may be too hot to go for my run/walk now. He replied, “Well its summer in Bermuda, so you might as well just go and get it out of the way”. I responded, “True, I will just hydrate myself”.
A few moments after our conversation, I started working on something and I get a text from my husband that said, “Boo, what are you doing?” I thought, that was my cue to go get dressed and work out, lol. I appreciate my husband for being an external motivator for me. At times, in the past, I viewed him holding me accountable as nagging, however, today I viewed it differently. My husband has been married to me long enough to know that I will procrastinate and/or get distracted and say I will work out later… and then it doesn’t happen.
I am thankful for this push because I need to achieve this fitness goal, so I can be my best self and live well. My workout was just what I needed for stress relief and to clear my mind, so I can fully embrace this day. Instead of working out for 30 minutes I worked out for 60 minutes. We all need someone that will push us to achieve our dreams, walk in our purpose, and get rid of our fatback. #WifeyWednesday #WisdomWednesday
